In an effort to make sailing easy for single handing I wanted to run as many lines as possible back to the cockpit. The origional configuration is linited by double deck organizers both port and starboard for a total of four lines led aft. I have three lines just for the Genoa, Spinnaker and Main halyards. What about single line reefing, boom vang and a down-haul or a cunningham. After considering a couple of options, found that Gauhauer, the origional supplier for the double deck organizers had a quad organizer that used the same footprint as the origional. This quad was two lower and two upper sheeves rather than the typical quad all side by side anking it rather long an would not run the lines in-between hand rail and the flip-up cabin roof. The quads worked perfect. (see Quad Deck organizer) To handle the lines coming from the deck organizers I installed both port and starboard SUA Triple Cams. Yopu can see it in the picture just forwatd of the secondary winches. (See Lines back to Cockpit) To handle all the tails, I installed line organizers on the upper aft portion of the cabin bulkhead. This is a great way to organize lines. (see Line organizer port & starboard) |
